One of my favorite sounds in the world is the sound of a pencil scraping against a piece of paper. It’s almost as if a door is slowly opening, creaking with every slight movement that it makes. On the other side is a world; a world that will change with every person that goes into it, meaning different things and changing peoples lives. How many doors are there? No one really knows, because as long as there is a person to imagine it, there is a world to be created.

Background
At deviantART, one of my on-going responsibilities is to find ways of increasing their satisfaction. To learn more about how our members feel, I administered a lengthy survey last December. The survey was very successful and gave us tons of insight into our community's stakeholders. We received some awesome data and feedback--some of which I am still analyzing. As I go through the survey results, I have been addressing any problematic trends as I discover them. One area of concern was the amount of users who felt negatively about deviantART because our website doesn't protect their images from being stolen.
