Along with what a great picture it is, the title gives it that extra *spark*! The violin is a beautiful instrument, same with the daisy. Combining them in a picture, and then adding a good angle and light is a great quality a photographer can have! I love how the violin has been perfectly placed, at an angle where half of it is in the picture, and the other half is taken up by the shadow. Another thing I noticed is that the violin isn't perfectly clean either, which make an excellent picture. I am not saying that it is dirty, but it shows that it is not some fancy show prop. Pictures that look natural, and not overly planned look amazing to me. Great work on this image, no way it doesn't deserve a 5 star rating!
I really like your use of the violin. It affects me personally, because I play cello, and my cello is very much a part of my soul. I think the name, and thus a bit of the impact, would be lost on a non musician, but I think that overall, it creates a lovely image. If anything, I would suggest changing the name to "The Soul Of A Musician", but perhaps thats not what your trying to impress upon its viewers, art is objective. On a technical note, I would have perhaps removed the tape on the strings around the bridge, for appearances sake. though, thats coming from a musician, I suppose It could be fine either way. If you wanted to take the Idea of the violin being the womans soul a little farther, you could have perhaps added a background, and maybe a few insignificant small items near it. I think that our souls are always impacting us, but not necessarily always in the foreground, and even when we look at our souls, regular life still goes on around us. I could be just rambling though, what do I know. anyway, all in all, Its really lovely, and its nice to see a classical instrument getting some appreciation.
Maybe it's just because I used to play the violin, or that I still love hearing it being played, but this picture really speaks to me. To me the violin is a very beautiful instrument. With the flower it's even more beautiful. Simplistic and impacting. And the title "The Soul Of A Woman", I couldn't think of a more perfect title for this picture. IT's hard for me to explain it, but I completely get it.
